AGING MOON is a circle within circles at the intersection of opposing
forces. The spinning life-including circle is cutting into, and through
an ancient cliff, freeing imprisoned symbols to strain outward, on one
side, while fluttering inward on the other. This composition is just two
complex, and interwoven to further describe in words other than listing
the components.
The representational owl is cut from a previous edition entitled "Hidden
Springs". That edition was discontinued, and the mold destroyed years
ago. The other steel and bronze shapes are fabricated. The primitive owl
images are carved in Montana Soapstone, with inlays of teak, kava (an
ivory-like wood nut), and Pt. Amarello Marble. The piece is 24 inches
tall and weighs about 45 pounds.
AGING MOON comes with a reusable crate, and all shipping charges. Again
because the sculpture is unique, and embodies the essence of my talent,
I must request the loan of the piece (at my expense) for inclusion in
some future prestigious exhibits, such as the National Sculpture Society,
or other "not for sale" show, with collection credit.
